63,000 visitors and 2,300 exhibitors were attracted by the international textile fairs Techtextil/Texprocess and Heimtextil. Our colleague, Oliver Panzner, visited the trade fairs in Frankfurt and tells us about his impressions.
What do you remember most about the trade fair?
The widespread joy and euphoria of personal meetings and the positive mood of exhibitors and visitors. There was a great willingness to network and exchange ideas with each other. The concept of three trade fairs running simultaneously is very well received: Techtextil, Texprocess and Heimtextil offer a wide variety of information and complement each other very well.
Which topics were strongly represented and what was particularly interesting?
Technical textiles and fibers, new machines for process optimization as well as the topics of sustainability, sustainable processes and materials as well as methods for waste avoidance. The topic of sustainability was omnipresent and taken seriously by all participants.
What does Bornemann consider a success of this trade show?
We were able to gather many good, new contacts that are important for our further development. Based on the good discussions, we were able to gather new ideas for cooperation. The open climate, the curiosity and the desire for exchange and networking – connect communicate collaborate – are also positive aspects.
Whether it was fair natural materials or fibers made from PET bottles, the theme of sustainability was clearly evident. Bornemann also demonstrates how important the sustainability concept has become in the industry with BRN.SHOP and an option for digital label solutions, for example, such as QR codes for tracking the entire production. Visitors were thus able to experience the megatrend of sustainability in a holistic way.
