It’s been a long time since we’ve longed for a trade show like this: on April 27 and 28, Performance Days finally took place again in physical form. There are a few reasons why the show was a huge success, here are the top three:
The atmosphere was great. Meet old acquaintances and new customers, catch up on the latest news and exchange ideas on important topics. It was noticeable to exhibitors and visitors that personal contact had been sorely missed over the past two years.
The talks were exciting and promising. What is currently moving the market? How are brands dealing with the current situation, what do issues like Covid and Ukraine mean for ordering behavior? In any case, there were enough topics. Long-term planning and entrenched views have fallen victim to the recent past; what counts now are flexibility and transparency in business processes.
Sustainability is the big winner at the show. It was the undisputed number one topic on both days. What’s new in fabrics and ingredients, what about the journey to carbon neutrality (the Key Topic of the show)? Our sustainable portfolio begreen could score with some news: The imitation leather badge made of CO2-neutral material described here in the newsletter, textile labels made of recycled fibers, transfers made of recycled TPU are just a few examples.
